Why could Mary be called the commander in chief of the royal armed forces of God?
There isn’t any language in the Bible that directly identifies Mary as a military commander. However, many interpreters identify the image of the woman clothed with the sun in Revelation 12 as Mary. That chapter interweaves narration about the woman with passages telling of Michael and his angels fighting the dragon. It may be that some interpreters see Mary as the leader of the angelic army as a result of this passage.
