Together with the Salvation Army

Oh behalf of The Salvation Army, we would like to thank you for supporting the 2007 Christmas Castle.

With your generous contribution, we were able to provide nearly 5,000 clients with bibles throughout the week of our Christmas Castle event at The Boston Park Plaza.

Lemuel Shattuck Hospital

On behalf of the staff and patients at Lemuel Shattuck Hospital, I would like to thank yo uand the Bible Society for your on-going support.

At the Shattuck Hospital, we have patients and staff who come from all parts of the globe and the Bible Society has always been very accommodating in finding the appropriate translations to meet our needs.

It's so very hard to describe the look of joy that I see every time I give out a Bible that was donated by the Bible Society, especially to those patients and staff who are not native English speakers.  I have been told a number of times by our patients that to have a Bible in one's own language has enhanced their spiritual journey and helped to find sources for hope in difficult times.

I wanted to write to thank you for sending me the beautiful Bible I received.  Having a study Bible in a language that I can understand has opened up the Word of God to me on a whole new level.  I now can comprehend and get the full meaning of His Word.  Thank you all once again for listening to your hearts and sending the Bible to me.  It's a gift that NEVER stops giving!

Straight Ahead Ministries

We at Straight Ahead Ministries would like to thank the Massachusetts Bible Society for the gift of two cases of Abundant Life NLT Bibles which we received last week.  All of these Bibles will be given to youth in lock-up facilities throughout Massachusetts.

We have approximately 80 volunteers who lead Bible studies weekly in most of the DYS facilities.  Your generosity has helped them and us bring God's word to those who need it so much.

Caritas Carney Hospital at Tufts

Please accept my sincere thanks and appreciation for the Bibles awarded to Caritas Carney Hospital through your grant program.  I know that our Pastoral Care staff will ensure that they are put to good use in the important work of ministering to our patients, families and staff.  I am sure that the Bibles will be a source of comfort and wisdom to all who have the opportunity to read them.

Bridge To Hope

Thank you for sending 20 more Recovery Life Bibles to Bridge to Hope for distribution to women at the Barnstable County Correctional Facility.  Now more women will be able to read the Word of God.  They asked, and the Massachusetts Bible Society supplied.  Praise God!

The shipment has finally reached its destination in Ghana!  They just informed us that everything including the Bibles have arrived.  Once again, thank you for the 100 Bibles that you generously donated to the Global Outreach Ministries.  You can just imagine the 100 souls that will get hold of the True Living Word of God, and in turn sharing that word of truth to others, and those others to others...like an endless bible teaching chain-link that will keep getting passed on from family to family, tribe to tribe, nation to nation!

From Lasell College

I wanted to extend my deepest thanks to you and the Society for your kindness and generosity in donating Tanach's and Bibles to the newly formed Center for Spiritual Life at Lasell College.  It is so exciting for us to have these resources for students as we seek to educate, explore and expose them to the rich diversity and wisdom that exists in sacred text.  Your donation has allowed us to move forward stocking a lending library and prepare for small group discussions.

The Bibles you supply are a tremendous comfort to our patients.  A case in point:  We have a young man from Brazil who just received a heart transplant.  Most ofhis family is far away.  During the stressful months of waiting, it was good to be able to offer him the Word of God in his own language.  So, on behalf of so many of our patients, we are most appreciative!
