About that wedding

Where did Jesus and his mother attend a wedding reception?  Bonus points if you know what miracle Jesus performed there.

Above is a painting of the scene by Paolo Veronese.  Notice how the area where Jesus is sitting looks suscipciously like DaVinci's rendering of the Last Supper?

The wedding was in Cana in Galilee. 

If you read about it in John 2:1-12 you will see that when the embarrassed couple ran out of wine, Jesus turned about 150 gallons of water into first-class wine.  This is the first miracle recorded by John.  You can read a sermon on the passage by Anne Robertson here.

If you visit Cana today, you will see many couples who have come there to renew their wedding vows.
