Jennifer Wright Knust is a professor of biblical studies, early Christian history and religion at Boston University. Her publications include Abandoned to Lust: Sexual Slander and Ancient Christianity (NY: Columbia University Press, 2005) as well as essays on a variety of topics, including the letters of Paul, deutero-Pauline literature, Justin Martyr, and the impact of anti-Judaism on the transmission of the Gospels. She has received fellowships and awards from the American Association of University Women, the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, and the American Council of Learned Societies.  Recently chosen as a Luce Fellow in Theology, she is currently completing a book-length treatment of the transmission and receptin of the story of the woman taken in adultery (John 7:53-8:11). Professor Knust is an ordained American Baptist (USA) pastor.
